Privacy Policy
SpinSavvy is built to collect as little as possible. Here's exactly what that means, in plain language.

The short version
There is no account, no email, no password, and no login. We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party marketing SDKs. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
The app only sends data to our own server when you choose to interact with the community library (sharing or browsing strategies) or enable push notifications. Your simulations, sessions, and spin history stay on your device and in your own iCloud — we never receive them.
What we collect, and only when
We do not require you to give us any personal information. The only data that reaches our server is:

The random app identifier is stored in your own iCloud (Apple's iCloud Key-Value storage) so the same anonymous identity follows you across devices signed into your Apple Account. It is not linked to your real-world identity, and we cannot use it to contact you.
When your device communicates with our server, our hosting infrastructure may incidentally process technical connection data such as IP address for the limited purposes of operating the service, security, and preventing abuse. We do not use this to build a profile of you or to track you.
What we do NOT collect
- No name (beyond an optional public display name you choose), email address, phone number, or postal address.
- No usage analytics, behavioral analytics, or crash/diagnostics reporting — the app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, or telemetry software.
- No advertising identifiers (no IDFA), no ad networks, no cross-app or cross-site tracking. The app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health, or financial data.
- No payment card details. Subscriptions are processed by Apple (see "Payments" below); we never see your card or Apple Account credentials.
Data that stays on your device
Your created strategies, simulation runs, saved sessions, and individual spin history are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage, and — if you use iCloud — synced through your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). This data is controlled by you through Apple's systems and is not transmitted to or stored by us unless you explicitly upload a strategy to the community.
How your shared data is used
Strategies you submit to the community are reviewed by a moderator before they appear publicly. Approved strategies, their names, and your chosen display name are visible to other SpinSavvy users who browse or download them. Do not put personal or sensitive information in strategy names, notes, or your display name, as these may become public.
We use the data described above only to operate the community library and notification features. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.
Third parties
We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes. The only third party involved is Apple, as the provider of the infrastructure the app relies on:
- iCloud / CloudKit — stores your local app data and the anonymous app identifier under your own Apple Account.
- Apple Push Notification service — delivers notifications if you enable them.
- App Store / StoreKit — processes subscriptions and purchases.
Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Payments
Pro subscriptions and the one-time Lifetime purchase are sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple may share limited, aggregated, or transaction-status information with us as a developer; refer to Apple's privacy policy for details.
Retention and deletion
Because we do not maintain accounts, most data never leaves your device. For data you have shared to the community:
- You can delete a strategy you uploaded from within the app, which removes it from the community library.
- To request deletion of any remaining data associated with your anonymous app identifier (for example, a display name or push token), contact us at the address above. Because the identifier is anonymous, please make the request from the app/device that holds it so we can identify the associated records.
Push notification tokens are removed or disabled when you turn off notifications.
Children
SpinSavvy contains simulated gambling content and is rated 17+. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we collect so little and hold no contact information, exercising some rights may require you to contact us from the device holding your anonymous identifier. We do not sell personal information and do not engage in "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us at the address above.
International users
The service is operated from the United States. If you use SpinSavvy from outside that location, the limited data described here may be processed there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" and posted at this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
